Hikage

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 September 2026

Every shadow is computed on your device. Where you have been is never sent to our servers. Hikage has no account and no sign-in.

1. What never leaves your device

2. What is sent out

Weather and UV

An approximate coordinate is sent to the system weather service to return the temperature, conditions and UV index for where you are. It is not stored by us.

Map data

City building data is downloaded as static files. Downloading one leaves the usual web-server log entry: an IP address and which city's file was fetched.

Usage

Anonymous usage statistics tell us which screens are used. They are not linked to your identity, and we do not track you across apps or websites.

City requests (optional)

Only when you send a city request: the approximate coordinate at that moment and the text you typed are stored so we know where to add coverage. Send nothing and nothing is stored.

3. What we do not do

4. Children

Hikage is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

5. Deleting your data

Everything on the device — walks, favourites, downloaded cities — goes when you delete the app. To have a city request you sent removed, write to us.

6. Changes

If this policy changes we update this page and the date at the top.
